 I finally made a homemade pizza I am proud of. I was just telling Mike and Becky the other day I have never made home made pizza that I really actually liked. This was it! My secret...I'll never tell. But it looks and was Delicious!

Oh the project that never ends. We went to hang it this weekend and it broke. So re-doing the re-do and modge podging it up.

Food Creations

 My creative life goes in waves. And by waves I mean themes. One week I will be trying new recipes or making up my own. The entire week. The next I will be working on decor projects around the house. The next I'll actually take the time to practice the piano piece I have been trying to learn for months.

This week was cooking week.

Now, I actually disdain sweet salsas. I have never been able to eat them, but this recipe sounded so good and I decided to try it. I gave myself a little psychological help by viewing the salsa as garnish. Not salsa, garnish. Then it was ok for it to be sweet. It turned out delicious. John actually enjoys fish, but I am quite picky about my fish. This one is a keeper.

 Oh the woes of car trouble. John has been constantly looking over our Subaru repair manual this week. We are holding our breathe to see if it passes inspection this month.

Next on the food list this week...pasta. Linguini to be specific. Basil pesto linguini with garden picked tomatoes and chicken. Thank you to the Doan's for the tomatoes!

Celebrating 5 Years

Happy 5th Anniversary to Us!
Here we are waiting for our dinner out, sitting on John's toolbox in the back of the truck. Look!...with an actual good view considering we are in the suburbs of ugly Philfadelphia. (no that's not a typo)

5 years of marriage...

Wow...

I officially feel old.

I am so happy to be married to John. What a journey this has been. It has been a journey in every sense of the word and we really, honestly, have only begun at 5 years. One of my counseling professors once said "If some people knew what marriage was before they were married, they would not have gotten married," and I definitely know what he is talking about. We married young. We did not know who we were at the time (a risky decision), but now after 5 years I possess the priceless history of discovering who I am, while at the same time having the privilege of watching my husband discover the same about himself. I do not know where I would be without my John. He has never given up on us and loves me with his best. I am so blessed. He is the greatest gift God has given to me besides God's own precious love given to us.

Today I attended/hosted a PBU or Cairn University reunion. Catching up with the select few graduate students who have survived the famous "lab" experience. I hope we have the opportunity to do it again in the future. I appreciate you ladies!

Project day.
 I finished one project (pictures to come from eariler posts...since it is still drying) and started another. This one is a celebration of our (John and I) lives together. I am printing pictures of us from the past 5 years to surround our name and plan to put in our bedroom. So far it is going quite well....I ran out of frames today otherwise I would have finished. I will get more frames and hopefully post pictures of it later once it is on the wall!

Hiatus

I took a little hiatus from my camera after vacation. 

If I do something every day for too long, I lose interest. I needed a break to fuel my camera appreciation. This week the camera is in commission again. Here are the snippets....

Waiting for Becky to car pool to the Gym. Tuesday is to become Racquetball day after this week. Today was my first day playing racquetball. I know her car is in this picture, but Silver is so small you can barely see him.

For Christmas John bought me fabulous Brookside chocolates. I love them and he bought a huge bag. Now you will laugh, but I still had a few left (I know, it's August). I went to get them tonight and they had gone bad! :(  I think when we went on vacation the apartment reached unbearable temperatures because my fish died and all our chocolate spoiled.

Nevertheless. I found these unspoiled leftover from vacation.
